Baiting Americana To Expose The Back > Wiping Off The Frame > Scorpion Lock > Breadcutter Choke [Gi/NoGi]
3 Part Technique - (1) When it’s not possible to control the opponents head from side control, Mick chooses to stay at the hips. From here he baits the opponent to offer their hand in bait for the americana. Not wanting to tap to the submission the opponent chases the hand and exposes their own back. (2) When doing a good job of framing, Mick kills the frame with the knee and uses a reverse underhook and reverse scarfhold to attack the shoulder lock - sometimes referred to The Married Couple by old school grapplers, or a the Scorpion Lock by new schoolers. (3) When the scorpion lock become unattainable, Mick switches to a classic Breadcutter Choke.
